Client: Cricket Australia Project: Cricket Outback Adventure
Summary:
Cricket Australia came to us needing a CD Rom for participants in the ‘MILO Have A Go’ program which was fun, engaging and educational for kids. It had to be desirable enough that kids would undertake the program just to get their hands on the CD Rom. Additionally, the CD Rom also had to provide important information for parents and program coordinators.
Required outcomes:
Encourage participation in the ‘MILO Have A Go’ program
Provide information on how to get involved in the program
Generate interest in cricket amongst the primary target audience
Target audience:
Primary: Participants in the ‘MILO Have A Go’ program (CD Rom included as part of the welcome package): age 6-10
Secondary: Parents and coordinators - provide information about how kids can join various programs, or how adults can get involved
Brief:
Create an environment, and related games, based on this year’s ‘Outback’ theme
Use of a lead character and supporting characters to guide users through the CD Rom
Must contain ‘exclusive’ elements that encourage children to enrol in the Have A Go program, and therefore receive the CD Rom
Provide information for parents and program coordinators
Recognise the generous support of MILO in the ‘Have A Go’ program
Content requirements:
Introduction leading to a navigation page via choice of the interactive environment
Games: Related to outback theme, with cricket flavor including an interactive multiple choice quiz
Parents & coordinators: PDF resources, how to get involved/learn more, contact information
Milo (Sponsors): Outline their history with cricket, Milo recipes and Milo web link
Elite Players: Player profiles, Test and one-day squad
About the game: Formats (Test, one day, 20/20) and video skill lessons (Batting, bowling, fielding, wicketkeeping)
